Closing my eyes, while feeling the warmth of the sun.
Hearing a blackbird singing.
Catching gratitude doesn't have to take more than a very few minutes.

Stepping out of a meeting, and getting totally swept away by the smell of these purple stars.
I absolutely love them!!! Sleeping with my window open all night and the curtains drawn. Thereby being able to wake up at 5 to this beautiful view without even having to get out of bed.
Had I been home, I would have had to get up and on my way. Enjoyed the view, the sounds and the feeling of Summer for a short while, and then falling to sleep again with a smile on my face. Running Leadership Training i CPH, and feeling grateful for being able to stay overnight and thereby getting a couple of hours of sleep more than I would have done otherwise.
Getting enough sleep can be totally underestimated. Yesterday, actually grateful for deciding to make Monday May 19th a rest day.
No reason for not being grateful yesterday, but just being grateful for choosing not to bother for a day. Waking up in the middle of CPH on a Sunday morning. The rain has stopped - at least temporarily - the sun is shining, and it's all so quite. Not a sound at all, except from the ones I am making myself while I'm tiptoeing around trying not to wake my sleeping daughter too early on a Sunday.
It's so easy feeling at home in this Airbnb-set up. So much nicer than a hotel, in my opinion, getting a sense of actually living here for a while. Entering the kitchen, and noticing this card on her fridge; "Do more, of what makes you happy". Thank you Julie for reminding me. I will!! Spending all weekend with my daughter. Birthday brunch for this sweet one-year-old, football game at Broendby, shopping in CPH, dinner out, and then couch crashing at a really nice airbnb apartment at Oesterbro, CPH.
Grateful! Coming back from work, and stealing a few moments outside while preparing dinner for some really good friends.
Getting a kick of endorphins, rushing through my veins, while collecting these herbs in the garden. Grateful for a really wonderful day outside.
Doing the gardin. Smelling the herbs. Cutting down lilacs, and placing them in my late grandmother's vase. Picking the very first rhubarbs, and cooking them till the juice turns all pink. Having a bonfire in the garden fire place. Baking pancakes, while sitting on beautiful new wooden "chairs" like this. |
