I have absolutely no idea how I lost this day. Not a bad day at all. Not sad, no problems, not disappointments, nothing bad, but I've got absolutely no idea when I felt gratitude. Most have lost all sense of mindfulness for a day.

When your daughter is 15, and most time is spent with friends, gratitude strikes easy, when you get to spent a few minutes with her. Even though you're just her driver! Absolutely enjoyed every second of the time spent serving these beautiful girls take away pizza in the woods, and driving them back from their afternoon climb in the tree tops, and later to the movies.
Heartfelt grateful for the friendship my daughter is experiencing with these girls - as well as two more, absent on the picture, but also part of this really cool team of girls. Friendship like theirs is worth millions. Falling asleep to the sound of the clouds bursting into heavy rain.
The sound was almost magic, and knowing that I should have been watering the plants days ago, and that I would wake up to another sunny day tomorrow, made me enjoy the sound even more. Thankful for the circumstances that makes it possible for my son and a friend of his to spend the summer evening sitting in a cherry tree down the road, eating their dinner.
I'm truly grateful for my brother. Had a long talk with him today, and it actually feels like, the older we get, the more we mean to each other!! My husband and I are throwing an "August-thanks-giving dinner" later on this month, celebrating some of the really wonderful and supportive people who've been there for us the last couple of years. I hope so much my brother and his wife will be able to make it!! Grateful for having him as my brother! |
