Got out of bed way too early for a Sunday morning.
Wanted to spend the morning with my daughter at - what we thought was - a very big flea market, while my husband had an errand back home for a few hours, and my son volunteered to take good care of the dogs - and his iPad - back home under a warm blanket and a big bowl of cereals.
The weather was cold, cloudy and very windy. My daughter was wearing shorts, and the temperature was much closer to late autumn than anything reminding you of summer.
The market was done in less than 5 minutes, and absolutely not worth visiting at all.
It was Sunday, all regular shops were closed, and busses only passed by the area every hour.
Had to go to the local pub, where regulars were drinking their morning beers, and smoking their cigarets inside at the bar. It was the only place open for a cup of coffee and a hot chocolate to keep warm while waiting for the bus.
Then spending 1,5 hour changing from one bus to the next to get back home, and on the way having to wait at yet another deserted and windy place for more than half an hour.
Not the best way to spend your sunday morning, especially during what was supposed to be your summer holidays.
My gratitude today however goes to my daughters mindset. She's absolutely amazing.
Not once did this 15-year-old complain, whine og get moody!
This is very typical for her mindset. And always have been.
However also very far from what I was like at her age...
Very impressed and grateful for being able to watch and learn every single day.
