Last Summer when waiting for the train at the airport, I met a small US family about to begin their holidays in Copenhagen. We had a nice chat in the train, and we exchanged contact details, so that I could create a Google+ site for them with tips on where go and what to see with a toddler. Ross, the father is a software developer in Google, så lucky for me I chose Google+ ;-)
About a week ago, Adam posted on Facebook. I've only met Adam once. He is actor, and I've hired him for a client workshop three years ago. Adam is a huge Google fan, and when doing road trip in CA, and approaching SF he was asking his Facebook friends if anyone knew someone who could help him make a Google visit possible.
I took a chance and wrote a guy I've only talked to for 20 minutes or so. Less than 24 hours later, Ross had replied and couple of days later Adam was invited to lunch at Google, SF.
It's funny how things works. I didn't get to see the Google Campus or drive California in a gorgeous white convertible of any kind, but it surely felt like it. I just love how sociale media and networking works effectively together like that. Got totally energized for hours, not least when receiving this picture from Adam today.
